Ignoring the previous thread, this has been bothering me more than the fact that my laptop's hard drive is going to crash at any given moment now. I've been all set to get a Wii sometime around November-December, but now I've moved slightly towards the 360. Reason? The Wii just doesn't look like it has much long time appeal. After all, you can only have so much Wii Sports and Warioware before it gets boring. The big selling point for 360 for me is Grand Theft Auto: IV (New York City) and hopefully a backwards compatibility function for Midtown Madness 3.
On the other hand, I've read lots of "red lights of death" or something error on the 360, where the power light goes red indicating hardware failure, then the torture of dealing with CSRs on the phone from "India" and sending your 360 off to Texas for repair. First up, does every manufacturer have to place repair centers in the western US? Why not somewhere in New England?
So Wii looks more reliable and 360 looks more fun. Wii is cheaper.. 360 is $500 plus tax for the premium console and Elite costs more than that.
I'm confuzzled, help me.
